Maturity Coaching (MCI) Intensive

If you are a practicing, experienced coach with a coaching credential, and you would like to learn how to do vertical developmental coaching using the Leadership Maturity Framework, then this program is for you!

The MCI is designed to equip practicing coaches with the skills and the capabilities to facilitate vertical development, tailored to stages of ego maturity.

In this 9-month integrative learning experience you will participate in live workshops with world-class faculty who are thought leaders, you will work in small group practice pods with other coach-learners, receive feedback from certified Leadership Maturity Coaches who will be a resource to you, and engage in self-directed learning and reflection.

Focus of the MCI

The MCI has two main focus areas, addressing the following two questions:

1. Where am I in my stage development journey, and how does that impact how I coach?

2. How can I get skilled at supporting my client in their stage development journey?

You will begin by taking the MAP which will give you a clear picture of where you are in your developmental journey. 

Then you will take a deep-dive into the stages of maturity, along with how to coach your clients who may be operating from the different world views. 

Through the content, design, structure, and experiences incorporated in this program, you will learn how to coach in a way that is deliberately developmental. You will learn to identify stage related language and tensions in your client’s world without using an assessment, and be able to offer the most valuable stage-appropriate tools and practices to support their vertical development.

MCI Program Elements

The MCI Program offers a rich and varied mix of learning elements to ensure you have a transformative learning experience. You will engage in live, online workshop with world-class faculty, certified coaches as resource, small group learning with your fellow coaches in pods and a course environment designed to support you in self-directed learning (SDL). VeDA’s MCI program is designed to equip you with the skills, capabilities, insights, depth, and confidence to facilitate vertical development in your clients—both explicitly and implicitly.

Structure of the MCI Program

Duration

• 9-month program, beginning November 1, 2021, and ending July 31, 2022
• 2-day or 3-day workshops, once a month (see dates below)
• 20 days: Total number of live, online training days over 9 months 
• 10 half days: Total number of small group (Pod) learning days over 9 months 

Format

• Monthly workshops
• Monthly small group (pod) collaborative learning meetings
• Periodic meeting with a VeDA certified Leadership Maturity Coach, for dialogue and feedback on coaching practice
• Ongoing self-directed learning, reflection and practice - includes reading materials, audio recordings of real coaching sessions and MAP debriefs, and video resources

Time

• Workshop timings: 11am - 5:30pm US Pacific Time
• Pod learning time: self-organized by members of Pod

Beena Sharma

Beena Sharma is president of the Vertical Development Academy, and an international consultant and master coach committed to serving leaders and organizations in their growth endeavors. Beena is the lead facilitator of all VeDA Coach and Leader Development Programs based on the Leadership Maturity Framework. VeDA programs integrate multiple methodologies in the service of individual and organizational evolution. Beena consults with organizations interested in implementing vertical development within their leader, culture and organizational development efforts.

This event page invites you to register for the Maturity Coaching Intensive. Please note the program fee DOES NOT include the MAP fee. Taking the MAP is required for the MCI program. Please select the MAP to include with your registration if you have not taken it before. (If you have taken the MAP within the past 3 years, you do not need to take it again.)

Terms and Conditions

Please note minimum number of participants we require to deliver the MCI Program is 18.

We reserve the option to move registered participants to a rescheduled session, if we do not have 18 seats filled two weeks prior to the start date of the event. In this highly unlikely event, fees will be refunded immediately in full, or retained towards participation in the rescheduled session, based on your preference.

Cancellation and refund policy:

• Full refund minus $100 if you cancel by September 17
• 50% refund if you cancel between September 17, 2021 and October 29, 2021
• No refund if you cancel after October 29, 2021
